Refunds
Fourteen days, no reason required.
This page is the policy behind the refund promised on the pricing page. The wording there and the wording here say the same thing on purpose.
Effective 9 August 2026
The promise
Ask within 14 days of a charge and we refund it in full, no reason required. This applies to a monthly charge and to an annual charge in exactly the same way.
If the product broke
If SaidClear lost you a recording, ask whenever. That one is on us regardless of the date.
How to ask
Write to support@dapols.com from the address on the account, or reach us through the contact page. Tell us which charge; you do not have to tell us why. We reply to every refund request, including the ones we cannot honour, and we say which it is.
Who actually sends the money back
Polar is the merchant of record for SaidClear, so Polar took the payment and Polar returns it — the refund lands on the card or account that was charged, and the name on the statement is Polar. We never hold a card number. Your invoices, payment method and cancellation live in the Polar customer portal, which Settings → Billing opens for you.
Cancelling is not the same as a refund
Cancelling stops the next charge and leaves you on Pro until the period you already paid for ends. A refund reverses a charge that has already happened. You can do both; cancelling first does not cost you the refund window.
When billing is switched off
Some deployments of SaidClear — a self-hosted copy, a preview build, a local clone — have no payment provider configured at all. Nothing can be charged there, so there is nothing to refund, and the billing screens say so rather than pretending to work.
